Course Number: H&S2

Course Objective:
To ensure that contractor personnel working in process industries are trained and assessed to a minimum standard of safety competency prior to commencement of work on site and which would ensure that they do not present a danger to themselves or others. This will lead to a reduction in repetitive safety induction training across clients' sites.

• Safe Access and Egress
• Accident & First Aid Procedures
• Fire Precautions and Procedures
• COSHH and Personnel Protective Equipment
• Manual Handling
• Working with Cranes and Heavy Equipment
• Excavations
• Tool Box Talks
• Risk Assessment

Part-time Day

Duration:
1 - 2 days

Times:
• Operator / Maintainers - 2 days
• Refresher / Update (after 3 years) - 1 day

Note: The 3 year refresher / update course can be taken either 3 months prior to the passport expiring (the passport will be dated from expiry date on passport) or 3 months after expiry date (the passport will then also be dated from the original expiry date).
